Registering and logging in will allow other registered members to send you private messages or emails. It will also let other users know who you are when you post a topic or reply to one. The board is currently running in an open mode. It will allow anyone to post or reply without registering or logging in. This new board will also allow me to ban IPs, domains, or users as needed, hopefully we won't have that problem. If the board needs to be ran in the closed mode you will have to register and log in.
Another nice feature of being registered, the board will notify you if someone replys to one of your posts. It will also send you daily updates on any new posts on other topics. You will notice anytime you wish to make a post it ask you to type in a number that it provides. This is an anti spam feature. It keeps me from having to filter messages. (Like I don't have anything better to do )

I like the new message board. We just need to find out how to encourage more people to use it as a technical and networking resource. I wish more people used it on a weekly basis.
